This training is designed specifically for Childminders. It has been written in line with Warrington's LSCB guidance. The EYFS Statutory Framework states: 'A practitioner must be designated to take lead responsibility for safeguarding children in every setting. Childminders must take the lead responsibility themselves.'
- Identifying and responding to the signs and symptoms of different types of abuse
- Record keeping, referral processes and information sharing
- Managing allegations and the role of the LADO
- Early Help referrals
- The Role of the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB)
Certificates of attendance will be issued by email following the training.
Please note that non-attendance or cancellation within 7 days of the start date of the course will incur a charge.
Tokens for hot drinks and water will be provided. Additional hot drinks can be purchased at 30p per cup. Please have the correct change with you. Free car parking is available - the car park is at the end of Barnes Close through the gates. During busy times (week days 9am - 11.30 am) there may be limited spaces. Please do not park on Barnes Close.
All childminders who have already completed Safeguarding Basic Awareness training.
