The objective of this training is to equip professionals working with children and young people with the knowledge and confidence to work with young people who self-harm.

- Gain a knowledge of the basic definitions of self-harm, methods of self-harm and NICE Guidance
- Notice signs of self-harm
- Know what to say and ask when working with someone who self-harms
- Gain a knowledge of basic interventions for self-harm
- Gain knowledge of other sources of further advice and support.
This training sessions is free if you meet the audience criteria but there’s a charge for non-attendance, so if you book onto a session and then don’t turn up, your organisation will be charged. There will also be a charge if you are unable to attend and you cancel your place less than 7 days before the date of the training. If you attend the training and you are not eligible to attend, then your organisation will be charged.
